Frequently Asked Questions
What does my registration include?
A full player package includes your event registration and official playing uniform for the competition.
Can I play in more than one division?
Players may be able to compete across multiple eligible divisions where scheduling and competition rules allow. For additional registration that requires no new uniform, only a $55 registration fee will apply. Where a new uniform is required, the full $130 will be payable.
Does every team make finals?
Finals formats will depend on the number of teams within each division. Full competition structures will be confirmed once registrations close.
What happens after I register?
Once your registration has been received, you'll receive further information regarding your team, uniform requirements, event updates and anything else required before competition weekend.
Can individuals request to play with friends?
You can let us know who you'd like to play with when registering. We'll do our best to accommodate requests, although team placements can't always be guaranteed.
Is there a minimum or maximum number of players per team?
Team packages are available for different squad sizes, with an 8-player team package being one of the standard options.
Final squad requirements and limits will be confirmed within the competition regulations.
What happens if my division doesn't get enough teams?
If a division does not receive enough entries to run successfully, we may combine suitable divisions, adjust the format or offer affected players an alternative option.
If this occurs, we'll contact registered players and teams before the event.
Can players from outside South East Queensland enter?
Yes. Players travelling from outside the region may still be able to participate.
If you're travelling specifically for the event, contact the event team as concessions or alternative arrangements may be available in some circumstances.
Is this only for representative-level players?
No. The SEQ Cup is designed to bring together players across different ages and levels.
Some divisions will naturally be highly competitive, but the aim is to provide a quality Fours event for both established players and those getting involved in the format.
Do I need previous Fours experience?
No. You don't need to have played Fours previously.
Players coming from Touch Football, TRL, Oztag, Rugby League or other sports can pick the game up quickly, and competition information will be provided before the event.
Where can I find the Fours rules?
Competition rules can be found here
