What is Fours Touch?

Fours Touch is a 4-a-side touch football format designed to make the game faster, more involved and easier to play. With smaller teams, no wings, active defence and attacking options like kicks and splitting, Fours gives every player more impact on the game.

  • 4 on the field
No hiding on the edge. Everyone is involved.
  • Kicking allowed
Add another layer of strategy and field position.
  • Smaller teams
Easier to organise, easier to enter, easier to keep together.
Why Four?
  • More involvement
Traditional touch can leave players stuck on the edge waiting for the ball. Fours removes wings, creates more space, and puts every player closer to the action.
  • Better value for every player
More touches, more decisions and more moments in the game. Fours gives players more out of every minute they are on the field.
  • Easier teams to organise
With 4 players on the field and only 2–3 subs needed, teams are easier to build, manage and keep together across a full season or tournament.

88% of players surveyed said wing was the least involved position. By removing them, Fours creates a more involved game for all players.

How to Play?
  1. Four players on the field
Each team plays with 4 players, creating more space and involvement.
  2. Six touches per set
Teams work through their set using passing, movement, kicking and attacking shape.
  3. Kicking
Fours introduces extra attacking tools through kicking that reward creativity and decision-making.
  4. Score in the bonus zone
Built to emulate rugby league, score in the middle bonus area to earn extra points and change the momentum of the game.
