2026 State of Origin

Welcome to the 2026 Fours Touch Football State of Origin, taking place on Saturday, 12 September 2026.

Our junior divisions will kick off at 9:00am and conclude at 12:00pm, followed by a short presentation recognising our standout individuals and teams.

The senior divisions will commence at 12:30pm and conclude at 5:00pm, with their awards presentation held immediately afterwards.

Food and drink vendors will be available from 9:00am. Frappe Cartel will keep our players and supporters fuelled with their caffeine fix, while the team from Get Loaded will be serving up plenty to satisfy your hunger throughout the day.

Important parking reminder: Vehicles must not park along the side of the main access road, as this obstructs Council buses. Any vehicle parked there risks being fined or towed. Continued non-compliance may also result in Council cancelling the event, so please follow all parking signage and directions.

The Fours merch tent will also be back in full force, with State of Origin caps, Fours caps and plenty of other goodies available to purchase throughout the day.

Frequently Asked Questions

When and where is the event?

The event will be held on Saturday, 12 September at Griffith University Logan Campus. Games will commence from 9:00am

How does the series work?

Each division will contest a best-of-three series between Queensland and New South Wales. The first state to win two games will be declared the series winner.

Can a game end in a draw?

No. If scores are level at the end of regulation time, the game will proceed to extra time (3 minutes). If the scores remain tied, a penalty shootout will determine the winner.

Every game must produce a winner so that the series cannot finish tied.

What time should players arrive?

Players should arrive at least 45 minutes before their first scheduled game to check in, warm up and meet with their team.

What should players bring?
  • Their official playing uniform
  • Appropriate footwear
  • Water bottle
  • Sunscreen
  • Any required strapping or personal medical supplies
